OSAKA Takuro, a prominent figure in light art, has consistently explored the cosmic side of things, such as visualizing with cosmic rays and experimenting in weightless space. It is said that the artist's latest work is by catching underground gamma rays. In other words, it is a change in the direction of observation from the distant sky to the nearby underground or river. I hear that this is a turnaround from awareness of radiation following the Great East Japan Earthquake. This is the first solo exhibition in a long time in which we are expected to look beyond mere aesthetics.
