　1975年韓国生まれのチョスプは、社会状況やそこに暮らす人々の営みをブラックかつコミカルに風刺する写真作品が高い評価を受けています。2005年には韓国の「今日の作家賞」を受賞し、日本では第3回福岡アジア美術トリエンナーレに招待されました。またアーティストユニットJNPの一員として2007年にトーキョーワンダーサイト青山で滞在制作した作品を光州ビエンナーレに出品しています。

　日本での初個展となる本展では、最新作である「コンテナシリーズ」が出品される予定です。作家本人を含む人物達がくりひろげる不条理かつ厳粛な光景は、私達自身の姿を見つめ直すユーモラスな鏡となることでしょう。
